Yuvraj says His Treatment Nearing Completion


New Delhi, Mar 14 (IANS): Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh, who is recovering from cancer in the US, said his treatment for a malignant lung tumour is nearing completion.

"My last stretch 4 mor dys to go Can't wait fr it to end Set me free dear lord," wrote Yuvraj on Twitter Tuesday.

Yuvraj is being treated at the Boston Institute of Cancer Research in the US since January.

The flamboyant cricketer had earlier posted that he was feeling weak after his second cycle of chemotherapy.

"Second cycle has finished today! Had a bleomycin shot feeling weak but I am sure tom will be a better day! My next scan dated on 7th march," Yuvraj had written.

The 2011 World Cup man of the tournament in his earlier posts thanked his inspiration and seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong for supporting him in testing times. Armstrong himself had overcome testicular cancer to win the coveted cycling crown.
