New Delhi, May 19: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday announced a 15-member squad for the three-match ODI series against Afghanistan beginning June 14 in Dharamsala.
Shubman Gill has been named captain of the side, while senior players Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya were also included after speculation over their participation ended. However, the BCCI said their selection would be subject to fitness clearance.
Star batter Virat Kohli and wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul also feature in the squad.

Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant was dropped from the ODI setup after being removed as vice-captain of the Test team. In his place, Ishan Kishan has returned to India’s ODI squad for the first time since 2023.
The squad also includes Shreyas Iyer, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav and Arshdeep Singh.
India squad: Shubman Gill (captain), Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, Nitish Reddy, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Arshdeep Singh, Prince Yadav, Prasidh Krishna, Gurnoor Brar and Harsh Dubey.
