The elephant was spotted near the 10th curve of the Charmadi Ghat stretch, causing panic among motorists and commuters.

According to reports, the elephant stood in the middle of the road for more than an hour, leading to a massive traffic jam on both sides of the highway.

Long queues of vehicles were seen stranded as motorists waited for the animal to move away.

Commuters reportedly faced hardship during the traffic blockade.
