Nottingham, May 3: The Mangalorean United Konkani Association (MUKA) Nottingham, UK held its general body meeting on Sunday, April 12. The event began with a thanksgiving Mass at St Teresa’s Church, followed by the meeting at St Thomas More Hall.
A key highlight of the gathering was the successful formation of the new committee for the 2026–2028 term.

The outgoing president, Godfrey Sequeira, expressed his gratitude and reflected on his tenure, while members also shared valuable feedback and suggestions for future initiatives.
The incoming president, Deepak Alvares, addressed the committee and members and promised to work for the betterment of MUKA and carry forward its legacy.
MUKA extended its congratulations to the newly formed committee and looks forward to their leadership in continuing to strengthen community engagement and cultural activities over the coming term.
