Puttur, Apr 30: In recognition of her outstanding contribution to Bharatanatyam, noted dance guru Vidushi Rohini Uday has been selected for the prestigious Aryabhata International Award 2026.
Rohini Uday, who runs Sri Devi Nrityaradhana Kala Kendra (R) in Puttur, is also serving as the president of Sharvani Credit Souharda Co-operative Society, BC Road. Her dedication to promoting classical dance and mentoring budding artistes has earned her this honour.
As per a release from the Aryabhata Cultural Organisation, Bengaluru, the award will be presented at a grand celebration to be held on May 23, at Ravindra Kalakshetra in Bengaluru.
The award recognises her years of commitment to preserving and propagating Bharatanatyam through training, performances, and cultural initiatives.
