Byndoor: Three killed, several injured as tourist bus crashes into parked tanker near Trasi beach

Byndoor, Apr 29: Three persons were killed and several others sustained injuries after a tourist bus rammed into a tanker on the National Highway near Trasi beach in Byndoor taluk on Wednesday, April 29.

The bus was travelling from Murudeshwar towards Udupi when it collided with a tanker parked by the roadside. The impact of the crash was severe, leaving many passengers injured, some of them critically.

The bus was carrying around 47 passengers, reportedly BCom students from Shankarghatta Rambhapuri College in Shivamogga district, who were on a coastal tour.

The injured were immediately shifted to nearby private hospitals in Kundapur for treatment. Sources said several of the injured are in serious condition.

Police visited the spot and further investigation is underway.
