Mangaluru, Apr 27: Srinivas University Institute of Engineering & Technology will be organizing International Conference on Emerging Synergy, Science and Technology (ICESST 2026) on April 29 and 30, in collaboration with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Bengaluru and Mangaluru sub-sections. Over the years, Srinivas University and the Institute of Engineering and Technology have successfully organised several international technical conferences.
However, this marks the first time that an international conference is being conducted in association with IEEE, adding significant prestige and global recognition to the event. This premier international event provides a global platform for researchers, academicians, industry leaders, and students to present their original research and discuss the latest innovations in energy, science, and technology. The conference features keynote talks, technical paper presentations, panel discussions, and exhibitions, covering multidisciplinary tracks such as computer science, electronics & communications, mechanical & robotics and, fundamental science.
The preparations for this prestigious international conference commenced in December of last year, reflecting meticulous planning and academic commitment. The conference has attracted 509 research paper submissions spanning multidisciplinary domains such as computer science engineering, electronics and communication, mechanical engineering, robotics, and fundamental sciences. Following a rigorous review process, 152 high-quality papers have been selected for presentation. These will be presented by academicians, researchers, industry experts, and students arriving from various parts of the country and abroad. In addition to the paper presentations, the conference will feature keynote addresses, expert panel discussions, and project exhibitions, providing a comprehensive platform for intellectual exchange and technological showcase.
The esteemed Patron of this international conference is Dr A Srinivas Rao (Hon’ble chancellor of Srinivas University), Vijayalakshmi R Rao and Prof Er A Mithra S Rao (Trustee-members, board of governors, Srinivas University).
The steering committee comprises eminent academicians and industry experts, including, Dr Sydney A Barnes (Leibniz Institute for Astrophysics, Potsdam, Germany), Dr Radhakrishna Prabhu (Robert Gordon University, Scotland), Er Raja Krishnamoorthy (Senior delivery manager, IBM Bengaluru), Dr G N Kumar (Professor, NITK Surathkal), Prof Dr Satyanarayana (Chair, IEEE Mangalore subsection), Dr Vasudev (Past chair, IEEE Mangalore sub-section) and Dr Venugopala P S (Chair - elect, IEEE Mangalore sub section).
The advisory committee comprises of senior academicians, including Dr K Satyanarayana Reddy (Vice chancellor, Srinivas University), Dr Anil Kumar (Registrar), Dr Srinivasa Mayya D (Registrar - Evaluation), Dr Ajay Kumar (Registrar - Development), and Dr Adithya Kumar Mayya (Registrar - Academics).
Dr Ramakrishna N Hegde (Dean of SUIET Mukka) will serve as the general chair and chief coordinator of this two-days international conference at Mukka. He will be supported by Prof Gaurav Prasad, convenor of the conference & head of department of cyber security engineering.
Eminent Indian Space Scientist, former chairman of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), and recipient of prestigious ‘Padma Shri’ Award, A S Kiran Kumar, will be gracing the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest and will inaugurate the conference on Wednesday, 29 April.
Dr A Srinivas Rao (Hon’ble pro chancellor, Srinivas University) will preside over the programme.
Dr Venugopala P S (Chair, IEEE Mangalore sub section), A Vijayalakshmi R Rao (Trustee member, board of governors, Srinivas University), Prof Er A Mitra S Rao (Trustee member, board of governors, Srinivas University), and Dr K Sathyanarayana Reddy (Vice chancellor, Srinivas University) will be the guests of honour.
