Missing woman traced after two years by Udupi police

Udupi, Apr 27: In a significant breakthrough, Udupi City police have successfully traced a woman who had been missing for the past two years.

The woman, identified as Chandrika, had gone missing in 2024 under the jurisdiction of the Manipal police station.

Following a detailed investigation, members of the Women Missing Task Force — including personnel Shivakumar from Udupi City police station, Karthik from Hiriyadka police station, and Harish from the Women’s police station — managed to trace her.

She was located in a village named Beer, situated near the border areas of Nepal and Uttar Pradesh.

Police said further procedures are underway following her recovery.
