Bantwal, Apr 25: Alleging that the BJP-led central government has betrayed women across the country by failing to implement the Women’s Reservation Bill, 2023, a protest was held at B.C. Road by the Dakshina Kannada District Mahila Congress Committee, Bantwal Block Mahila Congress, and Panemangaluru Block Mahila Congress.
Speaking on the occasion, former minister B Ramanath Rai said that the Congress has made several contributions towards the development of women. He alleged that the central government has introduced the current bill with malicious intent and that it has failed. He further stated that the Women’s Reservation Bill, 2023, should have been implemented earlier.
