Mangaluru, Apr 24: Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences, Mukka, marked a significant milestone with the grand inauguration of its Administrative Block, Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) unit, specialty clinic, and in-house aligner unit (Sri Align) on April 23, Thursday.
The ceremony was held with reverence, invoking the divine blessings of the late Dr C A A Raghavendra Rao, founder chancellor of Srinivas University and founder president of A Shama Rao Foundation.





The event was presided over by Dr A Srinivas Rao, honourable chancellor of Srinivas University and president of A Shama Rao Foundation. Distinguished guests included A Vijayalakshmi R Rao, trustee-member, board of governors, and Prof Er A Mitra S Rao, secretary of A Shama Rao Foundation.
The newly inaugurated facilities are expected to enhance clinical services, academic training, and patient care. The Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) unit will strengthen diagnostic capabilities, while the specialty clinic and in-house aligner unit aim to provide advanced treatment options to patients.
Addressing the gathering, professor Dr K Reshma Pai, dean of the college, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the management for their constant support and encouragement. She acknowledged the invaluable guidance provided at every stage of development, emphasizing that such leadership played a key role in the successful completion of the project.
In his address, Dr A Srinivas Rao, honourable chancellor of Srinivas University, highlighted the strong leadership and continuous guidance extended by the institution’s mentors. He noted that timely support and valuable guidance at every stage of development played a crucial role in the success of these initiatives. He further appreciated the coordinated efforts of the entire team and emphasized a shared vision to elevate the institution to greater academic and clinical excellence.
Faculty members, students, and staff actively participated in the ceremony, making it a memorable occasion for the institution.
