Cairo, Apr 24: India is leading the medal tally with nine medals, including two gold, at the ongoing ISSF Junior World Cup in Cairo, Egypt.
Prachi Gaikwad clinched gold in the junior women’s 50m rifle event, scoring 354.6 in the final to edge past Individual Neutral Athlete Darya Chuprys, who finished with 354.4.
In another event, Naraen Pranav secured a bronze medal in the junior men’s 10m air rifle with a score of 229.5.

India’s first gold of the competition was won by Shiva Narwal, who topped the men’s 10m air pistol event on the opening day.
With a total of two gold, four silver, and three bronze medals, India has climbed back to the top of the standings, reflecting a strong performance by the junior shooters at the global event.
