Mumbai, Apr 22: Television actor Parth Samthaan has announced a break from social media after alleging personal attacks and online trolling targeting him and his family through fake accounts.
The actor, currently seen in the television show Seher – Hone Ko Hai, shared a series of posts expressing disappointment over what he described as “bot accounts” posting offensive content about his personal life.

Saying the situation had deeply affected him, Parth said he had always maintained a positive outlook, but recent incidents had left him hurt and angry.
“I have always been a peaceful and positive guy, focusing on the good, but recently I have noticed someone buying bot accounts and commenting rubbish on my family, me, and my personal life through those fake accounts. Shocking and extremely hurtful,” he wrote.
Without naming anyone, the actor hinted he may know who could be behind the trolling but chose not to escalate the issue publicly.
Announcing a social media detox, he said he would rather focus on his work and personal life than spend energy pursuing complaints with cybercrime authorities.
“I have decided to take a break from social media for some time… I will focus on my life and my role as Mahid,” he said.
Parth is currently playing Mahid in Seher – Hone Ko Hai, which also features Mahhi Vij, Rishita Singh and Kanika Maheshwari.
The actor rose to fame with youth drama Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan and later gained wider popularity with Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, where he starred opposite Erica Fernandes.
