Mangaluru: 19 Expert PU College students score over 99 percentile in JEE Main

Mangaluru, Apr 21: In the national level Joint Engineering Examination (JEE) Main 2026 held recently, 19 students of Expert PU College, Mangaluru, scored more than 99 percentile. Among them, Ankit Ashok Dodawad achieved a perfect 100 percentile in physics.

A total of 57 students scored more than 98 percentile, while 93 students secured over 97 percentile. Furthermore, 130 students scored above 96 percentile, 166 students exceeded 95 percentile, and 377 students scored more than 90 percentile in the aptitude test held in March 2026.

Top performers

Suhas Basanagouda Balanagoudra scored 99.70 percentile (All India Rank 4758), followed by Ankit Ashok Dodawad with 99.70 percentile (AIR 4773). Krutika Mallikarjun Patil secured 99.62 percentile (AIR 6076), and Uddandi Laxmi Meghana achieved 99.59 percentile (AIR 6508). Other top scorers include Samay A S (99.50), Milan Madesh S (99.49), Ujwal Shivanand Boodihal (99.42), Deepak Gowda M (99.42), D Navaneeth N Pai (99.41), Sai Shobith S (99.41), and Abhishek R Hanamantagoudar (99.41).

Other high achievers include Arale Virupakshi (99.36), Naren V (99.34), Nithish Gopal (99.33), Yashas N M (99.33), Samarth Gowda R (99.29), Rishika K S (99.25), Chandan H R (99.17), and Nandan Nayak (99.17).

The first session of the JEE Main examination was held in January and the second in March 2026. Ranks were announced based on the best performance across the two sessions. The national level exam is conducted for admissions to premier institutions including IITs and NITs.

Prof Narendra L Nayak, chairman of Expert Group of Institutions, congratulated the students on their perseverance and achievement on behalf of the college management.
