Beltangady pilgrim dies after fall from train en route to Sabarimala

Beltangady, Apr 20: A 60-year-old pilgrim from Beltangady died after falling from a moving train while travelling to Sabarimala.

The deceased has been identified as Vasanth Poojary (60), a farmer and resident of Baj in Koyyuru village.

According to reports, he was travelling by train from Mangaluru to Kerala for the pilgrimage when he accidentally fell from the train on the night of April 17. He sustained serious injuries in the incident and was admitted to a hospital in Thrissur.

However, he succumbed to his injuries on April 18. A post-mortem examination was conducted the same day, and the body was brought to his residence on Sunday.
