Bantwal, Apr 14: On Tuesday, April 14, the Our Lady of Vailankanni Church in Farla was the site of a joyous ordination ceremony, where two Pallottine deacons - Nickson Joyson D'Souza from Farla Parish and Santhosh D'Almeida from Narampadi Parish were ordained as priests by Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore.
Fr Victor Martis vice provincial of ABVM province and Fr Charles Fernandes, former provincial of ABVM Province were present for the event.
The event drew more than 50 priests, numerous Catholic nuns, and over 500 faithful attendees. At the conclusion of the ordination, Fr Mark D'Souza, parish priest of Farla, along with the newly ordained Fr Santhosh D'Almeida, expressed gratitude to the Bishop, fellow priests, and the gathered congregation.
Immediately following the holy Eucharist, a felicitation programme was held on the church grounds.
