New Delhi, Apr 14: In a night to remember, young pacer Praful Hinge announced his arrival in style, delivering a sensational debut for Sunrisers Hyderabad and leaving Rajasthan Royals reeling.
From being a relatively unknown domestic player to becoming the talk of the tournament overnight, Hinge’s rise was as dramatic off the field as it was on it. His social media following skyrocketed within hours, reflecting the impact of his stunning performance.

Hinge made an immediate impact, striking with just his second delivery by dismissing Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. What followed was sheer domination, as he went on to remove Dhruv Jurel and Lhuan-dre Pretorius in the same over — all for ducks.
Three wickets in his very first over on IPL debut marked a rare and unprecedented feat, putting Rajasthan Royals on the back foot instantly.
He later returned to dismiss RR skipper Riyan Parag, finishing with impressive figures of 4 for 34. At one stage, Rajasthan were left struggling at 9 for 5, effectively sealing the match in Hyderabad’s favour.
Picked for Rs 30 lakh as a backup option, Hinge was not initially seen as a frontline player. However, his performance has now catapulted him into the spotlight.
Before his IPL debut, Hinge had quietly built a solid domestic record, claiming 27 wickets in 10 first-class matches at an average of 26.7. Known for his discipline and consistency, he had been steadily progressing through the ranks.
But in the IPL, moments define careers — and Hinge seized his.
With one explosive spell, he not only turned the game but also marked himself as a rising star to watch this season.
