Ulhasnagar, Apr 6: The Central Police Station Ulhasnagar has registered an FIR against four teachers for allegedly failing to carry out their responsibilities as booth-level officers (BLOs) in the Ulhasnagar Assembly Constituency.

The case was initiated following complaints by assistant municipal commissioners Vishal Kadam and Ganesh Shimpi, who are also serving as assistant electoral registration officers for the constituency.

The accused—Santosh Gorade, Monika Narang, Mahesh Badekar, and Anil Patil—were tasked with key electoral duties such as SIR mapping, verification of unclear voter photographs, and identifying duplicate entries in voter lists.

According to officials, the teachers reportedly completed less than 20 percent of their assigned work and failed to properly carry out the verification process, leading to allegations of negligence in performing election-related responsibilities.
