Moodbidri, Apr 5: Corpus Christi Church solemnly observed Holy Week from April 3 to 5 under the spiritual leadership of Fr Onil D’Souza and Fr Sunil George D’Souza, diocesan director of the Family Life Centre, Bajjody. The sacred celebrations of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday witnessed active participation and deep devotion from the parish community.

Maundy Thursday featured the traditional washing of the feet by Fr Onil D’Souza, symbolizing humility and service, followed by a meaningful homily by Fr Sunil George D’Souza on love and unity.

On Good Friday, parishioners enacted a live Way of the Cross, reflecting on Christ’s journey to Calvary. The evening service, led by both priests, centered on the Passion of Christ and the veneration of the Holy Cross.

Holy Saturday was marked by a candlelight gathering, symbolizing Christ as the Light of the World. Fr Sunil George D’Souza delivered a powerful homily on the resurrection.

The celebrations concluded with a vote of thanks by Fr Onil D’Souza, followed by the distribution of blessed candles for sponsors and contributors.
