Dubai, Apr 4: Debris from an aerial interception struck a building in Dubai Marina on Saturday as tensions continue to rise in the Middle East involving Israel, the United States, and Iran. Authorities confirmed that the debris hit the building’s facade, but no fire or injuries were reported.
Dubai Marina, a prominent residential and tourist area, is home to landmarks such as the Dubai Marina Mall. The incident adds to a series of recent security concerns in the UAE.
In response to regional tensions, Dubai’s Catholic churches suspended all masses and parish activities on Friday, coinciding with the holy week. The precautionary measures followed official safety directives issued amid the escalating conflict.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps released a video threatening to strike the 1GW Stargate AI datacenter, a project supported by ["organization","SoftBank","Japanese multinational conglomerate"], Oracle, Cisco, Nvidia, OpenAI, and the UAE’s G42.
The UAE has been a primary focus in the conflict because it hosts strategic US military assets such as Al Dhafra Air Base, making it a potential target in Tehran’s retaliation strategy, termed "Operation Truthful Promise IV." Iran has directed missiles and drones at Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, with the UAE experiencing the heaviest impacts.
The ongoing confrontation began on February 28 when the United States and Israel carried out strikes on Iran, including an operation that reportedly killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iran subsequently launched retaliatory strikes targeting US- and Israeli-linked assets across the region, triggering a wider escalation of the conflict.
