Kundapur, Apr 3: A class 9 student reportedly ended his life by hanging himself at his residence near Mangalapande Road here on Friday, April 3.
The deceased has been identified as Kaushik Bayari (15), a resident of Mangalapande.
Kaushik was a student of the Kundapur Board High School. The incident came to light when family members found him hanging in his room. It is learnt that he took the extreme step when no one else was at home.
The Kundapur town police visited the spot and conducted an inquest. A case has been registered in this regard and investigations are underway to ascertain the reason behind the act.
