Udupi, Apr 2: The Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh handed over three new dialysis machines to the Kidney Dialysis Centre at Goretti Hospital, Santhekatte, Kallianpur on April 2.
The facility was inaugurated with a prayer and blessing led by Fr Ferdinand Gonsalves, rector of Milagres Cathedral, along with Fr Denis D’Sa, parish priest of St Anne Church, Thottam and Fr Roque D’Souza, parish priest of Mount Rosary Church Santhekatte.























Ronald D’Almeida, president of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh, welcomed the gathering and presiding over the event, said, “It was a dream of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh to donate dialysis machines to the Goretti hospital and to improve the facilities herein. With the generous contributions of our donors it has become possible today”. He emphasized that ‘Serving humanity is serving God’ and reiterated the Catholic Sabha’s mission to reach out to the marginalized and the sick through meaningful initiatives like this dialysis centre.
The facility includes three new kidney dialysis equipment sets, approximately at the cost of Rs 33 lac. This provides affordable and accessible dialysis treatment to the needy.
Meanwhile, to support the further development of Goratti Hospital, the Catholic Sabha has organized a musical evening on April 5 at the premises of Mount Rosary Church. The organisers stated that the proceeds from the program will be utilized for developmental works of the hospital, with projects worth approximately Rs 1 crore planned.
