Mangaluru, Mar 31: Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management students athletic team clinched the overall championship for the ninth time, amassing an impressive 140 points at the VTU 27th Inter-Collegiate State-Level Athletic Championship held at KIT, Tiptur, from March 26 to 29.
Pranay J Shetty was honoured as the best athlete in the men’s section and Pallavi J S was honoured as the best athlete in the women’s section for outstanding performance.
The team also dominated both categories, securing the men’s section championship with 57 points and the women’s section championship with 73 points. Adding to their achievements, Sahyadri secured second place in the March Past event.
The championship was highly competitive and prestigious, featuring participation from 2,232 athletes representing 137 colleges.
