Udupi, Mar 31: A young man travelling without a ticket was rescued from a near-tragic incident due to the timely intervention of a ticket examiner.

The incident occurred when a train travelling from Kerala to Mumbai was nearing Innanje railway station. The youth, who was reportedly travelling without a valid ticket, attempted to jump out of the moving train through the door. Acting swiftly, ticket examiner Babu managed to prevent him from taking the dangerous step and rescued him in time.

Ticket checker Sunil, RPF personnel Raviprakash, and Jeena Pinto also assisted in the rescue operation.

Following the incident, the youth was handed over to the Railway Protection Force (RPF) office in Indrali. Authorities later suspected that he was mentally unstable. With the assistance of social worker Nityananda Volakadu, the railway police arranged for his admission to the district hospital in Ajjarkad for medical care.

During the medical process, the youth identified himself only as Sahad (25), a native of Kozhikode. Authorities have urged his family members to contact the Udupi District Hospital for further information.

Between January and June, these kind of Stress and depression cases are more. I think due to Exams /Admissioms/ Interviews. Nuerologists would agree with my views. These may.be more in populous countries lile Bharat. Kerala is thickly populated. I sympathise the youngster and his near ones. Too much weight giving to School and College exams.to be.stopped. Career and Future does not build from mere rote learning and scoring marks. Mind should be.made strong.to withstand pressures of situations. Parents and teachers at.Primary levels should teach daily little mental concentration sessions.

Godfrey Quadros,I dont agree with you. Here the boy is mentally unstabile. In such cases parents must take care and teach them not to do such horrible and life threatening things.Thank God now atleast ticket checker checked at right time from jumping out of train.World needs such people to assist youngsters to lead through life.but not hit and put in jail etc.Why do parents dont know he is loitering about without money? and without a ziel ?(end point)Hope he will be alright with time.Drugs and alcohol etc have spoiled our children.

I guess you have not experienced distress before. As a society ours is far behind as far as education and understanding goes. Only marks and certificates, gober inside.
