DK SP Dr Arun K, ACP Najma Farooqui among recipients of CM’s Medal

Mangaluru, Mar 29: Dakshina Kannada Superintendent of Police (SP) Dr Arun K and Mangaluru City Traffic Sub-Division ACP Najma Farooqui are among the distinguished police officers selected for the prestigious Chief Minister’s Medal for the year 2025.

The awards, which recognize outstanding service and dedication to duty, will be presented at a formal ceremony in Bengaluru on April 2.

Several other officers from the region have also been named for the honor, including:

  • K M Shivashekhara: ARSI, KSRP 7th Battalion

  • Tilakraj: ASI, District Armoured Reserve (DAR)

  • Irshad P: Head Constable, Bantwal Police Station

  • Jayananda N: Head Constable, Kankanady City Police Station

  • Mani M N: Head Constable, Mangaluru City Cyber Crime Police Station

  • Satish: Head Constable, Mangaluru City Cyber Crime Police Station (currently promoted and posted at Bajpe Police Station)

  • Vijay Kumar Rai: Head Constable, Belthangady Rural Police Station

  • Lalitha Lakshmi: Woman Head Constable, Urwa Police Station

The announcement has been met with appreciation from the department and the public, highlighting the commitment of the coastal security force toward maintaining law and order.
