Mangaluru: Vaccination camp held for Haj pilgrims

Mangaluru, Mar 28: A vaccination camp was organised for Haj pilgrims from Dakshina Kannada district who will be undertaking the Haj pilgrimage this year. The camp was held on Saturday at the Yenepoya School premises in the city.

The programme was organised jointly by the Karnataka State Haj Committee and the Dakshina Kannada District Haj Committee as part of the health and safety preparations for pilgrims travelling for Haj.

State Haj Committee member Syed Ashraf Thangal, Yenepoya Abdulla Kunhi, former District Wakf Committee president Nasir Lakistar, S M Rasheed Haji, Hanif Haji, Puttu Bava Haji, Dr Akhtar, Rafiq and others were present on the occasion.

A total of 1,244 Haj pilgrims were vaccinated during the camp, according to the organisers.
