Moodbidri: Pedestrian seriously injured after auto-rickshaw hits him

Moodbidri, Mar 28: A pedestrian sustained serious injuries after being hit by an auto-rickshaw at Gandhi Nagar on the National Highway stretch between Vidyagiri and Moodbidri on Friday night.

The injured has been identified as Shankar Acharya, a resident of Kardabettu in Gandhi Nagar. According to reports, he was walking from Moodbidri towards Gandhi Nagar when an auto-rickshaw driven by Shekhar rammed into him from behind.

Due to the impact, Shankar Acharya suffered severe head injuries.

He was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital with the help of local residents.
