Sullia: Mescom meter reader killed after bike crashes into electric pole

Sullia, Mar 25: In a tragic road accident near Nintikallu in Sullia taluk, a Mescom staff member was killed after the motorcycle he was riding crashed into an electric pole.

The deceased has been identified as Lokanath (35), who was working on a contract basis as a meter reader with Mescom.

According to reports, the accident occurred while he was returning home from Sullia.

He sustained serious injuries in the crash and was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Sullia. However, despite medical treatment, he succumbed to his injuries.

    Very sad.May his soul rest in peace.I find in this modern times ,every jack and jill has one or more Smartphones ,where they can self take a foto of electric reader ,where it shows the used electricity and number of electric scale? installed in every house.They can show it i particular dept.No need of extra person .Her we do the same since years.Heartfelt sympathies to family .

    RIP : day or night reflection signs on electric pole missing, even pole is adjacent to road.
