Mangaluru, Mar 24: Fuddar Prathisttan (R) organized 'Fuddar Prathisttan Puraskar-2026' for the toppers and achievers of Mangaluru and Udupi diocese on Sunday, March 22 at Milagres Jubilee Hall Mangaluru.
As many as 288 catholic students excelled in SSLC, PUC, graduates, post graduation and various competitive examinations were felicitated during the programme.
Dr Alwyn Serrao, principal of Milagres PU College inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. Nigel Pereira, president of Fuddar Prathisttan presided over the programme. Chief guest and keynote speaker, Dr Ronald Nazareth, registrar, St Aloysius, deemed to be University, secretary Vivid D’Souza and the management committee member Harry Rego were present.

































Dr Alwyn Serrao in his inaugural address congratulated all the awardees and their parents on receiving the recognition. He spoke about the importance of learning basic sciences, aiming to be at the Scientist grade positions and to take the road less taken. He urged the students to stay in the country and stay connected with their families, live a value-based life and serve the society in all possible ways.
Dr Ronald Nazareth, in his keynote address, congratulated Fuddar Prathistan Trust for organizing a beautiful programme to felicitate the achievers and for motivating them. In his keynote address he emphasized on the need of choosing teaching as a profession and to become the teachers of good values to be passed on to the generation of students. He encouraged the students to try answering various competitive examinations and try for the highest order administrative posts in India.
On behalf of the felicitated students Jenisha Shera and Renita D’Souza shared their success story and expressed their gratitude to the organizers of the felicitation programme.
Vivid D’Souza, the secretary rendered the vote of thanks. The management committee members and donors who supported generously for the success of the event were honored. The support and suggestions of Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh president Santhosh D’Souza and Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh president Ronald Dalmeida were greatly acknowledged. Vanisha Santhmayor and Melisha Correa compered the event. The programme concluded with a sumptuous lunch.
