Mangaluru: MRPL sponsors physiotherapy facilities for Government Wenlock Hospital

Mangaluru, Mar 17: Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, sponsored essential physiotherapy equipment to Government Wenlock Hospital, Mangaluru.

The equipment was handed over during a programme organised by the Rotary Club of Mangalore on March 13 at the hospital premises. The initiative was aimed at strengthening healthcare and rehabilitation services for patients, particularly those from economically weaker sections.

Under the Rotary District Grant Project for the year 2025–26, the Rotary Club of Mangalore facilitated the provision of various healthcare facilities, including rehabilitation support, laparoscopic surgical instruments, and physiotherapy equipment.

Rotary International District governor P K Ramakrishna and assistant governor Rajani R Bhat were present on the occasion.
MRPL was represented by Prashant Baliga, CGM (admin), and Keshav Patali, manager (CSR).

From Government Wenlock Hospital, Dr Shivaprasad, district surgeon and superintendent; Dr Sudhakar T, resident medical officer; and Dr Sadananda Poojary, head of Urology, attended the programme.
