Mangaluru, Mar 17: Coastalwood, which has been witnessing the emergence of several new-style films, has many movies lined up for release. A few of them have already completed all post-production work and are waiting for the right time to reach audiences. One such film, ‘Kajja’, has now announced its release date.

Directed by Jishnu S Menon and Siddharth Shetty, Kajja is now ready for release. The film, which has already created buzz for its unique style of making, will hit the screens on May 15.

Siddharth Shetty, who has also worked in the direction department along with Jishnu Menon, plays the lead role in the film. Notably, multilingual actor Vasishta Simha will be making his debut in Tulu cinema through Kajja. The film carries the tagline Karma Returns and is a blend of comedy, thriller, action and love story elements.

The movie has been produced under the Sumukh Productions banner, with Vishanth Menezes investing in the project. Theatre personality Mohan Raj has written the story, screenplay and dialogues. Cinematography is by Chandu Meppayur, editing by Sharath Hegde, choreography by Vijeth R Naik, and action direction by Yoganand.

The film features Siddharth Shetty, Aravind Bolar, Umesh Mijar, Jayashree, Shwetha Kotian, Sahana Sudhakar, Vensita Dias, Mohan Raj, Gautham Bangera, Suvarna Poojary, Savita Anchan, Shaheen Sheikh and Sannidhi Shetty in important roles.

The teaser of Kajja has already been released and the team is planning to hold the audio launch in the coming days. A premiere show of the film will also be held in Muscat on April 4. The film is set to release in coastal regions and several other places on May 15.
