Gas shortage disrupts canteens at BEST depots in Mumbai

Daijiworld Media Network - Mumbai

Mumbai, Mar 15: A shortage of cooking gas has begun affecting canteens operating at several depots and offices of the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking (BEST) in Mumbai, according to the workers’ union.

Union representatives said the situation has created difficulties for employees who rely on these canteens for their daily meals. They warned that many canteens are close to shutting down if the gas supply is not restored soon.

The union has urged the BEST administration to take immediate steps to resolve the shortage and ensure uninterrupted supply of cooking gas to the facilities.

According to the union, prolonged disruption could severely affect workers across various depots and offices, making it difficult for canteens to continue operations.
