Israel launches fresh wave of strikes across Iran, targets Hezbollah sites in Beirut

Daijiworld Media Network - Jerusalem

Jerusalem, Mar 11: Israel Defense Forces said it had launched a new “wide-scale wave of strikes” across Iran and was also targeting infrastructure linked to Hezbollah in Beirut.

The strikes, which Israeli officials said were aimed at what they described as Iranian regime infrastructure, come on the 12th day of the ongoing war involving the United States, Israel and Tehran.

According to the Israeli military, the attacks form part of a broader campaign to weaken Iranian capabilities and allied militant groups operating in the region. Simultaneous strikes were reported in Lebanon, where Hezbollah infrastructure in and around Beirut was targeted.

The conflict has increasingly expanded beyond Iran and Israel, drawing in Hezbollah, which is backed by Tehran and has been exchanging attacks with Israel since early March. The hostilities have heightened fears of a wider regional war in West Asia.

Reports indicate that explosions and fires were seen in areas struck during the latest wave of attacks, though there were no immediate details on casualties or the full extent of the damage.
