Dubai, Mar 8: Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has apologised to neighbouring Gulf countries following a series of missile and drone attacks linked to the ongoing conflict involving Iran, the United States and Israel.
In a televised address, Pezeshkian said Iran would not target neighbouring countries unless attacks against Iran originate from their territory. He also urged regional states not to allow their land or bases to be used for military strikes against Iran.

Despite the assurance, tensions across the Gulf remain high. Reports from regional media and officials indicate that air defence systems in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain intercepted missiles and drones late Saturday.
In Dubai, authorities said debris from a successfully intercepted missile caused minor damage to the façade of a building in the Dubai Marina area. No injuries were reported.
The conflicting developments have raised questions about whether Iranian military units are continuing operations despite the president’s call for restraint. Analysts say internal divisions within Iran’s leadership may be contributing to the mixed signals.
The situation remains volatile as the war between Iran and the US-Israel alliance enters its second week, with Gulf nations on heightened alert.
