Karkala: Senior National Highway engineer passes away due to heart attack

Karkala, Mar 7: Manjunath Nayak (52), a resident of Karkala Kukkunduru and serving as assistant executive engineer (AEE) in the National Highway department, passed away on Thursday, March 5, at Shringeri due to a heart attack.

Nayak had dedicated over 20 years to the National Highway department, serving in various capacities and playing a key role in executing highway projects in areas including Tirthahalli, Shringeri, Hebri, Udupi-Malpe, and Karkala-Maal. At the time of his death, he was posted at the Shringeri sub-division.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, a son, and numerous relatives and friends.
