Mangaluru, Mar 7: Air India Express has announced the cancellation of all its scheduled international flights from Mangaluru International Airport on March 7, citing ongoing disruptions in West Asian airspace linked to the escalating conflict involving Iran and Israel.
The cancellations come as airlines worldwide grapple with widespread flight disruptions triggered by the Iran–Israel crisis, which has led to airspace closures and restrictions across key corridors in the Middle East. Major hubs such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi and other Gulf airports have reported significant operational constraints, forcing carriers to cancel or reroute services.

Indian carriers have also been significantly affected. Thousands of flights have been cancelled or rescheduled as airspace closures persist, prompting carriers like IndiGo to cancel over 140 international flights on March 7 as well, while offering full waivers and refunds for affected passengers.
The ministry of civil aviation continues to monitor the situation closely, coordinating with airlines and international authorities.
In recent days, airlines including Air India and its low-cost arm have reported limited resumption of services on some Gulf routes such as Jeddah and Muscat following partial reopening of airspace, though many other destinations remain suspended.
Passengers booked on the affected flights have been advised to check with the airline for the latest schedule updates, rebooking options or refunds as the situation remains fluid and subject to evolving travel advisories.
