Mumbai, Mar 3: The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) carried out late-night raids at four locations in Mumbai’s suburbs following inputs about suspected links to a Pakistan-based terror outfit, officials said on Tuesday.

Acting on specific intelligence, ATS teams searched three premises in the eastern suburb of Govandi and one in Kurla. During the coordinated operation, four suspects were detained for questioning.

According to officials, the detained individuals were allegedly in contact with a Pakistan-based organisation banned in India under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). Incriminating material was seized during the searches.

Mobile phones, laptops and other electronic devices recovered from the premises are being examined as part of the probe. The suspects are being interrogated regarding their alleged links to the proscribed outfit.

Personnel from the Kalachowki and Nagpada units assisted the Vikhroli unit during the operation, which concluded late at night.

Officials indicated that further raids may be conducted in other parts of the city based on emerging evidence. Investigations are underway.
