New Delhi, Feb 26: The India women's national under-20 football team played out a 1-1 draw against Swedish club Enskede IK Dam on Wednesday at the Boson National Sports Centre in Lidingo, Sweden.
Sibani Devi Nongmeikapam handed the Young Tigresses the lead just before half-time, finding the net in the 44th minute. The hosts, however, struck late to restore parity with an equaliser in the 88th minute.
Head coach Joakim Alexandersson made eight changes to the starting line-up from the previous outing against Täby FK, where India had secured an emphatic 4-0 win over the senior side. Earlier in the tour, the Indian side had suffered a 0-6 defeat to Hammarby IF in their opening friendly.

The team will wrap up their Sweden tour with another preparatory fixture against Karlbergs BK on February 28 as they continue building momentum for the AFC U20 Women's Asian Cup Thailand 2026 later this year.
India’s tour began with a tough test against Hammarby IF at the Hammarby Sports Ground in Stockholm, where the former Swedish champions scored six goals across both halves. The Young Tigresses bounced back strongly in their second match, registering a convincing 4-0 victory over Täby FK’s senior squad at the same training base.
The Indian contingent arrived in Sweden on February 5 and has been training at the Boson National Sports Centre in Lidingo, near Stockholm, as part of their preparations for the continental tournament in Thailand.
In the upcoming AFC competition, India have been drawn in Group C alongside Japan (April 2), Australia (April 5) and Chinese Taipei (April 8), setting up a challenging group-stage campaign.
