Mumbai, Feb 21: The Pydhonie Police Station have arrested a 19-year-old unemployed youth for allegedly killing a 39-year-old man following a quarrel over speaking loudly on a mobile phone in south Mumbai.

The victim, identified as Vipul Karamkar, was a daily wage labourer living in the Masjid Bundar locality. The accused, Ibrahim alias Kalu Shaikh, also resided in the same neighbourhood.

According to police, the incident occurred on Monday when Karamkar was engaged in a video call with a woman. Shaikh reportedly objected to him speaking loudly and asked him to lower his voice. The exchange soon escalated into a heated argument.

Investigators said the confrontation turned violent, with Shaikh allegedly assaulting Karamkar and banging his head against the cemented road surface, leading to fatal injuries. Further investigation into the case is underway.
