Udupi, Feb 16: Ankith Shetty has been elected as the convenor of the Udupi Press Club Committee for the term 2025–28. The committee functions under the Udupi District Working Journalists’ Association.
The election was held on February 16 at the Udupi Press Club under information officer Manjunath as election officer. The new office-bearers were chosen during the meeting.
Ganesh Kalyanpur of Udayavani was elected as the co-convenor.
The following members were elected unopposed to the executive committee: Rajesh Shetty, Raju Kharvi, Puneeth Salian, S G Nayak, Harish P, Gopalakrishna Paduru, Nagaraj Rao, Michael Rodrigues, Nithish Manchi, and Jayanth A.
The newly elected team will serve for the 2025–28 term.
