Bantwal, Feb 15: A car crashed into a Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) information wall in front of the Kavalapadur gram panchayat office at Vagga on the Bantwal–Beltangady National Highway late Friday night.

The impact of the collision was so severe that the wall was completely shattered. The car also sustained significant damage. According to sources, the driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle at the time of the accident and sustained minor injuries.

The Bantwal traffic police visited the spot and conducted an inspection. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
