Mumbai, Feb 13: A fire broke out late Thursday night at a waste storage facility inside the Naval Dockyard in south Mumbai. Authorities confirmed that no injuries or casualties were reported.

According to officials, the blaze erupted around 10:15 pm and was swiftly tackled by naval fire tenders. The firefighting operation lasted approximately 30 minutes, after which the situation was brought fully under control.

The affected site is located in Colaba, diagonally opposite the iconic Gateway of India. Visuals of flames rising from the premises circulated widely on social media, drawing public attention.

Officials said an inquiry has been initiated to determine the cause of the fire. Further details are awaited pending the outcome of the investigation.
