Mangaluru, Feb 11: In a significant development for the regional film industry, the production team of the upcoming Tulu film ‘Bana’ announced a major collaboration with Yamuna Builders on Monday, February 9.

The partnership was solidified following the support and trust extended by Purushottam Shetty Nuliyalu and Aryan Shetty of Yamuna Builders. The team expressed their gratitude to the promoters for their belief in the project, which aims to "build, celebrate, and showcase" the rich culture of Tulunadu.

‘Bana’ is directed by Nithin Rai Kukkuvalli, who has previously helmed projects like Dharma Daiva and Dharma Chavadi. The film, which is centered around the sacred 'Naga Bana' (sacred groves), is scheduled for a theatrical release in March 2026.

A notable highlight of the film is the acting debut of renowned journalist and news anchor Jayaprakash Shetty. Shetty will be seen in a prominent role in this cinematic venture.

Veteran filmmaker Sundeep Malani is also associated with the project, marking it as his 202nd film in his prolific career. Filming for the project has been largely completed in locations across Mangaluru and Puttur.

The collaboration with Yamuna Builders is expected to provide a significant boost to the film's reach as it prepares to showcase the cultural heritage of the region to a wider audience.
