Mumbai, Feb 11: Nationalist Congress Party MP Supriya Sule has officially announced the engagement of her daughter, Revati Sule, to Sarang Lakhani, son of Vandana and Arun Lakhani. Revati will become a daughter-in-law of Nagpur.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Supriya Sule wrote, “We are delighted to share that our daughter Revati Sule will be marrying Sarang, son of Vandana and Arun Lakhani.” Along with the announcement, she shared three photos — two featuring the couple and one capturing the bonding between the families. Another image showcased Supriya’s husband, Sadanand Sule, with Sarang after a tennis match.

Speculation about Revati’s wedding had been circulating on social media since Monday, but official confirmation had not come from the Sule, Pawar, or Lakhani families until now. Producer Smruti Shinde, daughter of former Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde, confirmed the engagement on Instagram, highlighting the close ties between the Shinde and Pawar families.

Though not active in politics, Revati participated in the 2024 Lok Sabha campaign in Baramati alongside her mother, Supriya Sule, during her contest against Sunetra Pawar. Revati completed her schooling in Mumbai and pursued higher studies at the prestigious London School of Economics.

Sarang Lakhani, the prospective groom, is chairman of Vishwaraj Infrastructure Limited in Nagpur. Reports suggest that central minister Nitin Gadkari and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis played a role in facilitating the match.

The engagement comes just two weeks after the passing of Supriya Sule’s cousin, Ajit Pawar. While the wedding date has not yet been revealed, the celebrations are expected to honor the memory of the late Ajit Pawar, with the entire Pawar family taking part in the joyous occasion.
