Kaup native among three killed in Oman road mishap

Muscat, Feb 9: Three people, including Chethan (26) from Uchila Kalathur in Kaup, lost their lives, while three others were injured in a multi-vehicle road accident in the Wilayat of Liwa in Oman’s North Al Batinah Governorate on Sunday.

According to the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority, the accident involved three vehicles and occurred earlier in the day, triggering an immediate response from rescue and medical teams. Three victims were declared dead at the spot, while the injured sustained moderate to critical injuries and were rushed to nearby hospitals for emergency treatment.

Officials said emergency personnel secured the accident site and carried out rescue operations, including assisting those trapped in the wreckage. Medical teams also provided first aid at the scene before shifting the injured to healthcare facilities.
