Mangaluru: Mother, daughter seriously injured after trailer hits them while waiting for bus in Mulki

Mangaluru, Feb 6: A mother and her minor daughter were seriously injured after a trailer rammed into them while they were waiting for a bus by the roadside at Pavanaje temple in Mulki on Friday evening.

The injured have been identified as Kusuma, a teacher, and her daughter Sumalatha (14), police said.

The incident occurred when the two were standing at Pavanaje waiting for a bus. A trailer travelling from Mangaluru towards Udupi reportedly lost control and hit them.

Police said Kusuma sustained serious injuries, while Sumalatha suffered minor injuries.

Mangaluru north traffic police inspector Shivakumar visited the spot and conducted an inspection. The trailer involved in the accident has been seized, police added.
