Kaup, Feb 5: Parichaya Pratishthana (R), Pambur, will organise a seven-day theatre festival titled ‘Parichaya Rangotsava 2026’ from February 8 to 14 at Ranga Parichaya, Pambur, in Belle village.
The festival will feature seven stage plays in Kannada, Tulu, Konkani, Arebhashe and Malayalam. Performances will be held daily from 6.30 pm.

The inaugural programme will be held on February 8 and will be inaugurated by senior theatre artiste Geetha Suratkal. The festival will conclude on February 14 with a valedictory address by renowned Konkani writer, dramatist and educationist Dr Evzin D’Souza. Assistant director of the Udupi district department of Kannada and culture Poornima and K S Sridharmurthy will attend the programme as guests. Various theatre artistes and writers will address the audience during the festival.
The schedule of plays is as follows: On February 8, Rangayana Shivamogga will present the Kannada play ‘Nammolagobba Gandhi’. On February 9, Little Earth School of Theatre, Kerala, will stage the Malayalam play ‘Koohu… An Anthology on Rails’. On February 10, Astitva (R), Mangaluru, will present the Konkani play ‘Bhangar Manis’. On February 11, Bhoomigeetha Samskruthika Vedike, Patla, Udupi, will stage the Tulu play ‘The Fire’. On February 12, the Karnataka Arebhashe Culture and Literature Academy will present the Arebhashe play ‘Appa’. On February 13, Aatamat (R) Samskruthika Patha, Dharwad, will present the Kannada play ‘Mattobba Maayi’. On February 14, Astitva (R), Mangaluru, will stage the Konkani play ‘Chiri… Thees Nanyanchi’.
Each play will have a duration of 90 to 120 minutes. The organisers have stated that all programmes will begin and conclude as per schedule.
The festival is open to all art lovers. Parichaya Pratishthana managing trustee Dr Vincent Alva, president Anil D’Sa, artistic director Prakash Noronha, and trustees Wilson D’Souza, Arul D’Souza and Peeter Osta have appealed to the public to extend their cooperation for the success of the event.
