Udupi: St Cecily’s CBSE School holds farewell ceremony for Grade 10 students

Udupi, Feb 4: Students of Grade 10 bade au revoir to their school days at St Cecily’s English Medium Higher Primary School (CBSE)with a formal farewell programme hosted by Grade 9 students on February 3.

The students were warmly welcomed to the auditorium with customised tokens of love and showers of flowers. The programme began with a solemn prayer beseeching choicest blessings from the Almighty for their bright future.

A symbolic lamp lighting ceremony signified enlightenment of knowledge and values imbibed within the portals of the school. Greeting songs, skits, dances and reels evoked waves of nostalgic sentiments and sweet unforgettable memories. The vibrant performances conveyed warm wishes, fond remembrances and sincere hopes for success in all future endeavours of the outgoing students.

A few outgoing students shared their cherished experiences of the institution and thanked the faculty for grooming them to what they are today.

In her parting message, the principal, Sr Lathika AC blessed the students and described them as God’s blessings to the institution. She advised them to give prime importance to their character which has been moulded by Cecilian values and wished them well for their upcoming Board examinations.

The vice principal, Sr Preethi Savitha AC too greeted the students and extended her best wishes for their future aspirations as they step out into the wider world.

The programme concluded with a gracious vote of thanks.
