Udupi: Case registered against woman for giving scooter to minor

Udupi, Feb 4: Police have registered a case against a woman for allegedly allowing a minor to ride a scooter in Manipal.

According to police, while personnel were on duty near Parkala Junction, a 16-year-old boy identified as Shreyas was found riding a scooter in a rash and negligent manner from the Herga side towards Parkala.

During verification, it was found that the rider was a minor and did not possess a driving licence.

Following this, Manipal police registered a case against the scooter owner, Usha (45), for permitting the underage boy to ride the vehicle.
