Byndoor: Bike overturns in Gangolli, rider dies

Byndoor, Feb 3: A man died after his bike overturned following a skid at Belladi in Nadaguddeyangadi of Byndoor taluk on Sunday night.

The deceased has been identified as Prabhakar Menden (Kot Manur Padukere). He was reportedly travelling from his residence at Manur Padukere to his wife’s house when he lost control of the bike near Belladi. The bike skidded and overturned, leaving him seriously injured.

Locals, with the help of Gangolli Apadbhandava ambulance service member Ibrahim Gangolli, rushed him to a private hospital in Kundapur. As advised by doctors, he was being shifted to Manipal for further treatment when he succumbed to his injuries on the way.

A case has been registered in this regard.

Prabhakar Menden was the elder son of late Molahalli Heriya Nayak, a noted Yakshagana artiste. He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.
