Mangaluru, Jan 26: On January 26, 2026, the 77th Republic Day was celebrated at 9 am in the institute premises of St Aloysius Industrial Training Institute, Mangaluru.
Rohan Monteiro, proprietor – RM Associates & Alumni of SAITI, was the chief guest for the programme. Roshan D’Souza – principal; Alwyn Menezes – vice principal; Noel Lobo - training officer and Sudha – convener; staff members and students were present for the celebration.
The programme began with the flag hoisting, followed by the singing of the national anthem. The programme was compered by Asna, who conducted the event smoothly.
An introduction to Republic Day was given, highlighting the importance of the Constitution of India. The gathering was then welcomed with a welcome speech by Niveditha.

















The preamble of the Indian Constitution was led by Shabana, reminding everyone of the values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.
A patriotic group song was presented by Anita, Pooja, Ashwidha, Afreena, Dilshad, and Aishamma, which filled the atmosphere with patriotic fervour.
The chief guest, Rohan Monteiro, addressed the gathering with an inspiring message, encouraging students to uphold constitutional values, remain disciplined, and contribute positively to society and nation-building.
A colourful patriotic dance was performed by Afiya, Shabana, Sumati, Hanumava, Shaza, and Deepthi, which was appreciated by everyone present.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Harshitha, expressing gratitude to the chief guest, dignitaries, staff members, and students for making the programme a grand success.
